June 26, 2011

Opening:

Chairperson Jerry R. called to order the regular meeting of the Central Oregon Intergroup, Inc. Date: June 26, 2011. Time: 5:30 PM. Place: TEC, Bend. Attendance sheet was passed.

Verified eligible voters and a quorum established.

A.            Approval of Minutes

The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.

B.            Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer’s report was given and approved as presented.

C.            Committee Reports:

Alanon: Not present.

District 5 Liaison: Kathi C. said the PNC went well and had 150 registered attendees. There is a workshop coming up on July 31 (Anonymity Myth-buster and 7th Tradition). Flyers will be available and will be announced in the newsletter. Said the recent workshop was well attended.

Entertainment: Heidi S. reported that there was sunshine for the Ochoco Campout! The attendance was good. Cline Falls picnic was rained out and moved to the Redmond Alano Club. Was a huge success.

Passed out flyers for: 1.) Spirit Fest (Warm Springs) and 2.) Newberry Crater Campout.

Stated that there have been complaints from Bend groups that entertainment functions are not being announced in meetings. Asked that IGR’s make announcements and make sure that flyers are visible to all.

Discussed the possibility of changing the Cline Falls picnic location to Sam Johnson Park. Various comments not in favor of this. Heidi will bring this back to the Entertainment Committee and discuss in their next meeting.

Hot Line: Wayne S. reported he is a bit behind schedule for rotations for June. Needs volunteers as many shifts are coming open. Asked that if a functions is changing location (like the Cline Falls picnic moving to the Redmond Alano Club) to advise the hotline.

Newsletter: Eileen F. stated that all is going well and that the extra newsletters at the PNC were a big hit.

Office: Mikey reported Telephone Activity: Office – 95, Hotline – 58, Al-Anon – 8. Income Detail: Books/Lit $681.90; Coins/Misc. $749.90; Newsletter ($1.66); Deposits $2,190.64.

Potluck: Alan A. stated that last night’s potluck was good. PNC was a bit of competition so attendance was light.

Schedules: Shari A. reported that the new (July) schedules are out and here at this meeting. Question was asked about how much it is to print scheduled. $ 300 / quarter.

Website: Cory S. reported that site is up to date and working well. Traffic was up by 20% last month (over the previous month).

D.            Old Business: None.

E. New Business: Erik C. (High Desert Roundup Raffle Chair) is asking groups to contribute for raffle baskets. Asked IGR’s to discuss with groups. Stated that the roundup committee meets monthly at TEC (met earlier today). Sober softball tourney fundraiser coming up in three weeks also.

Wayne S. stated that the 4th annual men’s campout is July 8-10 and that there are spaces available.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:17 pm. The next meeting will be at 5:30 p.m., July 24, 2011 in Bend at TEC.
